The Atypical Family ( A detailed synopsis)



This drama revolves around the supernatural activities within the Bok Family. A lady who has inherited these powers from her ancestors is obsessed with her abilities, affecting everyone around her. Her husband, seemingly a butler in their family, lacks any powers or authority. Their son Bok Gwiju, grappling with depression and alcoholism for seven years following the death of his beloved wife has neglected his only daughter, Bok Inha. He has lost his ability to revisit his happiest memories from the past, with no one able to see him except himself, unable to change anything.

Inha, unnoticed by her family except for her grandfather is socially awkward and nearly invisible at school, spending most of her time on her phone. Her grandmother, once able to foresee the future in her dreams which brought the family great wealth, lost her powers due to insomnia. 

Enter a masseur who provides Inha's granny with such soothing massages and tea that she begins to dream again, leading to plans for marriage with her depressed son. This masseur comes from a family that operates a sauna, with her mother, uncle, and sister working as con artists posing as a gym trainer at the family-owned gym.

As truths unfold, the Bok family begins to regain their powers, leading to various revelations. This indicates that show can be binge-watched has only 12 episodes.
